This ship is one of the newest and is huge. There are a lot of places to sit and read, or drink, or write, and there is a lot of open spaces. There is even a tree that grows in the atrium. The ship has a gardener on board to take care of it and all the other plants.
The are a plethora of activities too, more than any other ship 🛳 I have ever been on. They had Golf in the atrium, Ben bag toss, staff vs. guests, three sessions of trivia, bingo, of course, glass blowing class, ping pong 🏓. So much to do. With 3,000 guests, you need a lot of activity, I guess.
it was a leisurely day for us. We lunched in the main dining room and I was impressed with the quality of the food and service. We were invited to a lovely cocktail reception by Distinctive Voyages, which, I guess, our travel agent arranged for. They are also offering a complimentary shore excursion in Wellington next week.
We dined at Blu, where I was more impressed than the night before. Had lobster salad and short ribs
At dinner we noticed Tasmania, or Tassie, in the distance and came back to our room for some nice sunset shots
I think that the cloud in the distance looks like another ship. Do you?
Today was scotch day. We tried Johnnie Walkers, Maclellans and several Glens. They can be quite pricey. One of the maclellans was $100 a shot. No Thank You, i’ll Stick with a more affordable option.
